Pismo Beach...

On Sunday evening, we had a sudden impulse to get our feet sandy...

So we headed down to Pismo Beach, fought through the weekend pier crowd- 

and found this empty spot in the wind to enjoy the last hour or so of sunlight.

On our way out of town, we spotted this funny little surf shop, 

and a surfboard that my very talented grandpa shaped nearly 40 years ago.

Here's to impulsive adventures and unexpected finds.  ♥

A big, bright Sunday to get me through Monday.

Hello, Happy Monday!

You'll start off with some Mexican chocolate, and you will be full of work, brainstorming, note-taking, and the occasional dirty diaper.  But all day long I'll be reminiscing about our sunny Sunday spent floating and sliding around the waterpark.  Being grateful that I remembered to bring and use the sunscreen.  Feeling the lingering warmth of just the right amount of sun, and that spectacular kind of tired that only comes from a day spent weightless.

Happy Friday, Friends...

It's officially SUMMER, you guys!  I am loving the sunshine, sandals, fresh fruit, and family time.

We're getting up way too earrrrrrrrly tomorrow morning to watch Evelyn twirl baton in a parade.  Jeff finished a big commission this week, and I'm excited to see it hanging at a new business downtown.  Elliott's first birthday (oh my gosh), and our big camping trip (yikes) are just around the corner, and James is gearing up for engineering camp at Cal Poly.  

This year is flying by!
